  Q. How does the arch fit securely to the ground?

The arch can either be sunk into the ground, but we would recommend using post ground anchors, we sell these seperately on our website. Simply add them to your order for the arch.

  Q. I've been looking for an arch of this width but with a gate to enable me to stop the dogs going onto the lawn, without success, there only seem to be arches with double gates and therefore greater width. I have decided that I may have to get a gate separately to attach to an arch would you consider this arch to have the strength in the uprights to hold a gate?

No it wouldn't be strong enough as it isn't designed to have a gate attached to it.

  Q. Is the 1m the width at the widest part or the bit you walk through? What width of path is this suitable for?
 
  A. Hi Venese,

The 1m width is for the horizontal top section and not the walkway.

You can adjust the sides to fit along the top section, this means the width can be increased to 1m but you would lose the overhang at the sides. You could of course reduce this width as well to fit your path.

  Q. Please would you clarify the exact dimensions (width) of the product, i.e. How wide is the horizontal top section? How wide is the internal dimension of the walkway - i.e. between each upright? What is the width of each upright?
 
  A. Hi Fiona,

The horizontal top section is roughly 200cm.

The width of the internal walkway is 100cm, and the width of each upright is roughly 50cm.

It is a fantastic piece of gardening furniture that makes a great addition to most gardens.
