Q. |
Are the measurements of 246mm in height the total length of the post? Please advise |

A. |
Hi Barbara
The 246mm height size is the toal height of the posts.
This allows you plenty of length to sink into the ground.
I hope this helps.

Q. |
1) Should the 4 vertical posts be fixed into the ground?
2) If so, what depth of timber should be inserted into the ground?
3) If placed on gravel/paving etc (without inserting into ground) could it get blown over in a strong wind?
4) What size of timber posts are used - for purchasing & inserting into "Metaposts" or similar?
Thanks,
Paul |

Hi Paul,
Thanks for your enquiry.
Yes the 4 posts should be fixed into the ground in some way.
We would suggest about 15-20cm deep into the ground. Maybe a little more in soft ground.
If fixing to paving, we would suggest using a ground anchor of some sort. It really would need fixed down though to keep it stable and prevent it blowing over in high winds.
The uprights are 75mm x 50mm.
