Q. |
Is this arch designed to be fixed to adjacent fence posts or set into the ground (or both)? |
| |

A. |
Hi Neil,
The arch is designed to be fixed and set into the ground. It should be dug into 300mm holes.

Q. |
I am considering one of a number of your arches - the Bow top, the Lomond, the Tuin compact etc.
On all your arches please advise:
1. is the width dimension the top of the arch or the width between the feet
2. Do they come with 4 metal spikes for putting into the ground and if not can these be bought separately on all of them?
Many thanks for your help.

Hi Rosie,
The bow top arch measurements are 2.3m high, 1.8m wide x 1m deep, to the highest and widest points. The dimensions listed are taken from the most external points of the feature. To calculate the width between the feet, subtract 3 and a half inches on either side for the thickness of the posts.
The arches do not come with any spikes or anchors. They are designed to be sunk into the ground or concreted in. You can order anchors seperately though. We sell these within our fencing and pergola sections of our site.
All of the arches are delivered flat packed, and come with everything you need to put them together and assemble.
Where will you be siting the arch? On grass?

Have decided on the Bow top Garden Arch. Please advise dimensions of legs so I know what size metal spikes to get? |
| |
|
| |
A. |
Hi Rosie,
The sizes of the posts are: 68mmx68mm, so I would recommend using the Elite Post Anchor, the sizes of the post anchor are: 70mmx70mm, so there will be enough room for the posts to sit in there. We have anchors available to order from our fencing section and pergola section.

Q. |
Hi, Can u tell me the dimensions of the square trellis on the sides of the arch? |
| |
|
| |
A. |
Hi Peter,
The trellis section is just under 1m in depth. Do you require the size of each individual square? Which dimensions do you require?

Q. |
Have ordered one of your bow top arches. Is it standard that they all come in pale green, or can I get one with a natural finish,, as have just had new decking and I would like them to be same colour!!. Know I can stain it, but won't ever be same colour as decking as it has the green underneath!! |
| |
|
| |
A. |
Hi Gill,
Unfortunately we only do it in pressure treated green, it is very pale though.
We would only recommend a water based preservative too.

Q. |
We have slabs on one side of the archway (which is above steps) and soil on the other side, the steps have two low brick pillars marking each side of the opening. Can this arch be secured onto a hard surface or could it be fixed to the small pillars? |
| |
|
| |
A. |
Hi Josephine, If you were looking to secure this to a brick pillars, then you would need to just drill though the legs of this unit, and into the pillars. To secure the legs to the hole drilled into the masonry, simply insert a length of soft wire with the nail and this will lock the unit into place. Is there anything else I can help with? Q. |
Do you sell these with a 3/4 foot base? |
| |
|
| |
A. |
Hi Mary,
This particular arch is only made and sold in the 1 size. Are you referring to the ground anchors that go with the arch to secure it in place? We do sell a variety of anchors for arches. Or the physical base size of the arch you are querying?

Q. |
The description says fits paths between 1.1 & 1.6m.
Yet measurements say width is 94cm. Which is correct?
My oath is 1.3 m wide so I need to know! |
| |
|
| |
A. |
Hi Cathy,
thanks for your enquiry.
Sorry the notes are a bit confusing there sorry about that. I have now edited them.
The arch is adjustable so you can make it to fit most spaces where the width is up to 1.6m. It cannot go any wider than this.
So it you need it to cover a space of 1.3m this would be fine, you can just adjust the posts to the size you need it to sit.
Please let us know if you would like any more information.
Kind Regards
